Description
This is a set of plans documenting a Ned Painter “Tyee” salmon fishing row boat.
Ned Painter was a shipwright in Campbell River BC, who also ran a sport fishing business starting in the 1920’s. He would build boats for his guides and guests to use to fish for “Tyee” salmon (Spring salmon 30 lbs and over). Painter’s Lodge is still in business today and still has a few reproduction boats available to use.
I developed these plans from information taken from several original boats. They document the details Ned used in his boats with a few recommendations for those interested in building replicas.
Five sheets include: Lines & Offsets; Construction drawing; Full size station mould patterns; full size backbone parts patterns (two sheets)
