Being able to produce steam is a core requirement of any traditional boat shop. I’ll walk you through the dual voltage stem generator I built for the steam-box in my shop. It’s pretty easy to build using off the shelf plumbing components. Simpler versions can work just a s well but this works well for me both in the shop and out at the boatyards. Admittedly, it could stand a rebuild to make it more presentable and portable.
