NOMAD 16

This sport fisherman was designed for us by naval architect Tad Roberts for a customer who wanted a wooden boat that approximates the popular production boat Arima 16 in size and capability, but with less weight and more cockpit space. The result feels like a boat twice its size, but only needs a 50 HP outboard and is towable by a small SUV. The small cuddy cabin is for gear stowage and houses a porta-potty. The helm area features comfortable teak swivel seats. When it’s at rest, you can even set up some folding chairs and a bistro table to entertain friends.

This is the perfect boat for easy trailering and economic motoring in comfort. We are considering building an 18’ version as well. This boat always gets enthusiastic compliments at the launch ramp.
