Description
This is a new banjo, built on spec. Open back, dowel stick construction. Scale length: 26.1875″ (Standard 26-1/4) It is finished with linseed oil and wax.
Pot: 11″ diameter x 2-3/4″ deep x 1/2″ wall thickness. Steam bent and laminated sapele mahogany. Katalox and maple trim. Rosewood tonering. Antiqued brass tension hoop with 18 hooks. No-knot tailpiece.
Neck: Sapele mahogany. Maple and Pao-ferro fingerboard and headstock overlays. Brass and maple inlays. Brass acid etched scoop plate with stork motif. Double action truss rod. Gold medium fretwire. Brass side dots. railroad spike at the 7th fret. Antiqued gold Kluson Revolution tuners 19:1 gear ratio. Tortoid buttons. (note, some pictures show this with ebony buttons. They have been replaced with tortoid)
Head: Natural walnut stained goat skin. Shellac finish for stability.
Bridge: Rosewood moon bridge.
Tone: Medium bright. Volume: medium.
